Hi
I have been testing today pre7-1 with semicolon fix from Rik.
I have found the following problems:
Problem 1:
Executing:
while (true); do time ./mmap001; done
with the size of the mmaped file the same than the size of the
memory. It takes here to run the process normally around 25
seconds, but sometimes it takes something like 5/8 minutes.
This happens 1 each 6/7 times. This problem was worst with
pre6, there the times was 25 seconds and 54 minutes (yes one
hour). That machine is idle except for that process, no X, no
console, .... And now with pre7-1 that machine freezes, no
console messages, nothing in the logs, no answer to network
(only to ping).
Problem 2:
Executing:
while (true); do time ./mmap002; done
I trigger the BUGs (in that order):
kernel BUG at page_alloc.c:102!
kernel BUG at page_alloc.c:104!
