Hello,
When attempting booting linux versions 2.4.5 and 2.4.5-ac15 on an Athlon
1.3Gh, 256Mb SDRAM system, I get numerous OOPSes, and am generally unable
to even finish the boot process.
I tried to disable the swap, with positive results, as I could then at
least single boot the machine.
The memory is not defective, I memtest86-ed it and I tried it in another
machine, and I also tried a tried and true memory module from another
Linux box I have, on which 2.4.5 successfully runs, and got the same
results.
Attached is the contents of the syslog(it contains the oops information).
I am a bit lost here, and would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,
Lior Okman
