Could anyone tell me which patch of kgdb i should use for the kernel 2.4.2.
I need to rebuild the kernel with this patch.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
All please let me know anyother debugging tools available to debug the
kernel.

You can use the kgdb patch for 2.4.6 and apply it by hand.
It's available at http://kgdb.sourceforge.net/
