We noticed that many of my emails to this list have the [PATCH ...]
subject part removed from it. The mails to lkml arrive just fine. The cc
that I am getting is also okay. Anyone have a clue?

That shouldn't be happening unless bogofilter is catching it as spam. The
few items that are marked unsure are usually approved by me within a short
period of time. If you have a particular example, I can dig through the
logs to see what happened.

Have a look at the zoned VM counter patch V6 that was posted recently to
linux-mm. The first two patches have the [] intact the later 12 have them
all removed.

See http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-mm&r=1&b=200606&w=2

Hmmm... Maybe its an issue of the marc archive?

I see that my local archive of linux-mm is fine.

Don't send out mails with two Subject: lines then. =-) That and double
Date: and From: lines seem to show up regularly from a few people.

Two "Subject:" lines?

Hmmm... My messages have additional Subject: and From: lines in the first
two messages of the body. These were merged somehow into the header.

Paul, could sendpatchset prevent this?

> Paul, could sendpatchset prevent this [two subj/from headers]?

I don't think sendpatchset can prevent this.

I can't reproduce the problem, and I am guessing that the merged
headers occurred further down the email chain than sendpatchset.

I just used sendpatchset to send myself a message that had Subject:
and From: lines in the first two lines of the message. I received
the message with those two lines still correctly in the body (after
the blank line that ends the email headers).

If someone else knows how to reproduce this problem, then we'll have
to debug it from there.

I rather doubt that its sendpatchset that is doing this.
