iirc, we turned this off because the compiler would go nuts inlining things
and would consume too much stack:
a()
{
int a1;
}
b()
{
int b1;
}
c()
{
a();
b();
}
Here, c() will allocate eight bytes for locals.
If gcc ever fixes up the unionisation-of-local-storage thing then we'll be
OK.
