Subject: [Ksummit-discuss] self-nomination: Sowmini Varadhan
Date: Wed, 2 Sep 2015 20:14:31 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20150903001431.GC10995@oracle.com> (raw)

I realize this is somewhat belated, but the topic only recently
bubbled up on a few radars, so better late than never.

I would like to nominate myself for discussions around possibly
doing TLS based encrypt/decrypt in the kernel networking stack.

There's a lot of interest in exploring the potential for doing
something along this line from various perspectives such as
improving sendfile perf, and also for the growing assortment
of kernel sockets that tunnel over TCP/UDP for network virtualization.

I've had discussions with a few folks around this, face-to-face
meetings may make this more efficient.
