I think that this was a major purpose served by Kernel Summit when it
was founded.  Over time KS grew along with the importance of the kernel
until we started trying to cap KS attendance in the "about 100" range.

Various mini-summits, workshops, and such have been instituted
over time.  At least part of the goal of providing such outlets is
to include a broader swath of the kernel community.  I believe that
was part (perhaps most) of the motivation for the KS format change
to include workshops over the past several years as well.  Do you
think that we need even more such events?  Or just bigger ones?
