[Ksummit-discuss] [TECH TOPIC] Media workshop

We'd like to have a media Workshop together with KS/2015. The media subsystem
has been actively developed and this year we're addressing several issues
related to the Media Controller and working to improve the digital TV support
to better cover support for embedded hardware like TV sets and Set Top Boxes.

Being in Asia, and in particular, in Korea, is a plus, as lots of embedded
hardware development is happening there, and we can attract some of those
developers to be better involved upstream's work.

How much time do you think you will need (half day, full day, quarter
day, etc.) and how many people do you think would be invited for the
Media workshop?

Full day.

Typically, we have 10-20 people present on the workshops,
although it is hard to tell how many people will be in Asia, as this is
the first time we'll do a workshop there. Informally, many of the
attendants of the previous workshop told me that they intend to go
there. Also, as there are several developers in Korea working with media
development, and we're doing some upstream projects with them, I expect
to have a good number of local participants, but it is a little too soon
to give you a better estimate about how many people will honor it.
